Optical Pulse

Optical Pulse is the combination of paint and light creating the illusion of depth and space; Utilising a projector, lighting fixtures and painted murals. This collaboration is an extension of prolific Painter Drez’s work, exploring perception: how our brain alters the signal from our eyes in every moment to make calculations and understand where we are in space, filling in gaps in blind spots, adjusting light levels and amplifying colour signals. By utilising simple forms we seek to alter space and perceived notions of depth, colour, proximity and distance.
